{lovely finds}

I found this little beauty at a local thrift store... I was so excited to use the sander Andrew gave me for my birthday!
The picture above is what the color looks more like- kind of a grayish blue
So what do you think? Is it too blue or just right? Should I add a glaze to it to highlight her curves? Or should I sand the edges a little bit? Or both?
I feel like it needs something else, but I'm not sure what it is!
P.S. If you have experience glazing, give me some tips! (I've never ventured down the glazing lane before!)

paint the hardware black or dark brown

I think I would add new hardware, it would make a great "statement", and she's definitely worth it.

I was going to say get new hardware too! Maybe black circle knobs or something funky like polka dots. Good luck

I also say "NEW HARDWARE". Something funky. Maybe a little more modern. I just stained a computer desk yesterday...all these projects are so much fun. Try the hardware and then show us. If you decide to glaze use a very light glaze. You can buy glaze, mix a cup of stain, stir well, paint on, wipe off with cheese cloth or a flour sack cloth. So fun!!!

Oh my gosh, I was just coming to your site to tell you that Jill bought a dresser today at DI and it looks JUST LIKE the one you just redid! That is too funny! She wants to modernize it and I told her that we should get your input before doing anything to it. I'll take a picture of it and send it to you.

How fun! I love the color. I must say I'm so jealous of your awesome thrift store finds. I love the shape of the existing hardware, so I'm going to go against the crowd and say keep it. Though I always like a little bit of antique-ness to furniture.

This is gorgeous! I would do some of the antique glaze on it before you change the hardware. The hardware may look more cohesive with the piece after a little glazing. You are so talented! Good Luck.

You totally inspire me, girl! I got a bedroom set of my Grandma's when she passed, and it has the exact same look as your dresser... It has the gold trim and everything! I have been wanting to re-paint it because it needs it! It is chipped everywhere! So, you just sanded and painted it? What kind of paint did you use? Did you spray or just brush it on? It looks so perfect and smooth! Give me some tips! You are seriously, SO SO SO talented!
