{deep in the heart of Texas}

I'll be here next week for work and I'm looking for some fun stuff to do! Fun boutiques, funky restaurants, galleries, museums, etc! Any ideas?

I actually just wanted to say Hello! I've never been to Texas, so I wouldn't know what to tell you!! Have a good time though! And I LOVE that Ikea cabinet! You should buy it!

Bonnie was just telling us about a fabulous restaurant she went to, I am not sure where it is though. You should ask her. It sounded really tasty. I am jealous, I want to go out of town again!

LUCKY! I have secretly always wanted to go to Texas! Maybe its the thought of hearing attractive men with southern accents! Anyways you'll have to post on what you did when you get back! I know that you will have fun, you are a fun girl! Wherever you are the fun comes with! Have fun!

There is lots of good shopping. Make sure you go to the Grapevine Mills Mall (HUGE indoor outlet shopping mall). The Galleria Mall is also really great (it has an indoor ice skating rink). The North Park Mall is also really cool, it has lots of your "upscale" shopping there, ie Tiffany's, etc.

I hear Salt Grass is an awesome restaurant to go to while you are there (steakhouse). The Dallas Arboretum is also a fun place to visit and it is absolutely gorgeous. We went during the spring with all of the tulips. Amazing. Also, you could see where JFK got assassinated. Awesome place to visit!

I'll second Krystle's suggestions of those malls. Shopping in Dallas is the best! Also going downtown to the West End at night is fun. There's always bands and stuff playing.

The French Room at The Adolphus hotel is very elegant and gourmet restaurant. Chuy's is the best Mexican food. Also Dave & Busters is fun - they have good food and it's kinda like a mini-Vegas with games to play. Dickey's Barbeque Pit and Sammy's Bar B Que are both great barbeque restuarants. Il Sole is really good Italian. That's all I can think of off the top of my head for restaurants.
