{cheer up charlie}

So, I need to apologize for being a bit pessimistic in my posts lately. Some of you have commented that I seem a little down and have asked what's up, but I don't feel it's appropriate to blog about. (Translation: Public blog + not knowing who is reading this= I must be careful about what I blog about!) Don't worry, my marriage is fantastic and my family life is just as blissful. Nobody I know is sick, I am not sick, and I don't think anyone has a hit taken out on me (as far as I know...*shifty eyes*...). Use your imagination and I'm sure you'll come up with the reason I am frustrated. I'm a little amused to see what your guesses will be!
But enough about that. I've always been told that I am the only person that can control my emotions. Whenever someones actions would upset me, my mom would always remind me that I was the only person who could control how I reacted, and that is exactly what I am doing now. I choose to be happy and kind. I think Matthew Wilder said it best when he sang, "Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride, nobody's gonna slow me down, oh-no, I got to keep on movin'!"

So with that said, I'd like to share some info that I am really excited about! Every summer the Salt Lake Arts Council hosts weekly concerts called the Twilight Concert Series. They're each Thursday starting July 10 - August 28 @ 7pm at the Gallivan Center downtown. The best part about it is they are FREE! That's right, zero mullah! So check out the link and see who's playing! These two bands are on my must see list:

Josh Ritter July 17

Nada Surf August 7

All I can say is... YOU GO GIRL! It is hard to keep a positive attitude in certain situations.

I totally know what you mean about being careful about what you post. Sometimes I wish I could vent on the blog, but then I'm glad I'm not sure who is reading it because it forces me to watch myself and not delve into too personal of issues.

Though my first instinct is to blame the in-laws, but that's just me :)

(but mine read my blog, so let's pretend I didn't say that)

:)

My guess for your frustration has to do with the thing I helped you out with last week. How is that for vague? =)

I had a crappy day today too and had to leave work and go eat a cinnamon roll at a local bakery to cheer up. I'm usually not an emotional eater, but today it worked for me!

Hey sneaky little bunny with the shifty eyes! Hee. Sorry you've been down but I'm glad all the other areas of your life is going great! Hmm... I'm guessing that you're frustrated because your cats have taught themselves to be kitty acrobats in a cat circus and you're SO TIRED of fielding all the phone calls for their jobs. And then there's the dang cat paparatzi! ha. I totally know what you mean -- often I totally want to vent BUT I know that could come back later to bite me in the butt. Great attitude tho, Shan! :) And how fun are those FREE concerts?! Yay! Something to look forward to!

Yeah,the cat paparazzi will really get a gal down. (Whoever wrote that is awesome).

Umm, I'm sorry for the frustration---whatever it is. Perhaps I will be able to chat with you IN PERSON (yesssssss!) about it Friday...or Saturday. Definitely one of those.
